Very often, “what is in your hand”(your skill/ talent) determines the opportunities that come to you and how well you manage your them.

LEVELS OF SKILLS 

Skills differ in value. Some skills are in higher demand, and bring more financial benefit than others 

1.Basic Skills

They are relatively easy to acquire/learn.

They result in lower pay.

Examples:Cleaners, Laundrymen, Security men, Receptionist, Drivers, Salesgirl/boy, Filling Station Attendants, etc.

If all you have are basic skills, you might not go very far.


2. Core Skills 

They are more difficult to learn and master.

They demand mastery of complex tools and resources which they combine with to produce results.

Examples:Technical skills (such as engineering, plumbing, software, etc); Entrepreneurship (such as baking, sewing, managing a salon, running a supermarket, poultry, etc)
